Our pork product is reasonably lean, with excellent texture producing a great eating experience. The bacon, sausage, and other deli products are very popular and have led to many compliments from our customers and an ever increasing number of repeat orders.

Our swine genetics started with Landrace sows bred to a Duroc boar producing litters of 10-15 piglets. We have since acquired a resident boar. He is a Duroc/Belgium Pietrain X ("Pete" the pig) he produces vigorous offspring that are a pleasure to have around, grow rapidly, and at the end of the day are a great pork product.

In the last couple of years we have transitioned over to Tamworth sows, a heritage pig known for its great bacon and grazier skills. The Tamworth is on the "threatened" list in the USA and "vulnerable" list in the UK and fell out of popularity when modern day pig production moved into big barns. Under the family farm model of production the Tams do very well, are friendly, easy to manage and produce litters of 10-12 piglets with almost a 100% survival rate. We have been very impressed with the Tamworth's mothering skills and their dark red colour makes them better in the outdoor environment (sun, rain, and snow).

Our goal is to maintain a small herd of Tams sows who will be bred to a crossbred boar leading to the production of vigorous & healthy piglets that will provide an excellent eating product.
